Start Racing at the Training Ground
To start a Yagara Bull race in ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet, obtain the bull from a customer request, build its training ground, assign the bull and interact with it. Races run automatically, so if you keep losing, train intelligence when waves slow you down, speed when you cannot catch the leaders and stamina when you fall behind near the finish.
Get the Bull and Unlock Its Training Ground
The Yagara Bull Training Ground unlocks through story progress, around the middle of the game. The Yagara Bull itself comes from a customer request, so obtaining the animal and unlocking the facility are separate parts of preparing to race. If you are missing the bull, focus on customer requests; if the facility is unavailable, continue the story.
Open Menu → Management → Everyone’s Requests to review customer wishes. Use this list when checking your request progress and deciding what to tackle next. Keep the bull’s request in mind while preparing for the training ground.
Enter a Yagara Bull Race
- Complete the customer request that rewards the Yagara Bull. This gives you the animal needed for training and racing.
- Build the Yagara Bull Training Ground once story progress unlocks it. This facility is where you train your bull and enter races.
- Assign the Yagara Bull to the training ground. With the bull assigned, you are ready to prepare it for racing.
- Feed the bull to improve speed, intelligence and stamina. Start with balanced training, keeping speed slightly ahead, then adjust your focus after watching its performance.
- Interact with the assigned Yagara Bull to enter a race. It moves automatically, so watch where it loses ground to decide what to train before the next attempt.
Match Training to Where Your Bull Loses
Because the race runs automatically, concentrate on preparation between attempts. Watch whether your bull struggles at waves, cannot close the gap to the leaders or fades near the finish. Use that pattern to choose your next training focus.
| Race problem | Training response |
|---|---|
| Waves slow your bull down. | Train intelligence to address this weakness. |
| Your bull cannot catch the leaders. | Train speed to improve its ability to catch up. |
| Your bull loses ground near the finish. | Train stamina to address the late-race slowdown. |
Keep balanced training with speed slightly ahead as your starting approach. After a loss, give attention to the weakness you actually saw. Compare the next race with the previous attempt so you can judge whether that training focus helped.
Restock Training Food and Time Your Retry
Training food comes from restaurant customers and builds up over time. A droplet adds 2, a bag adds 5 and a fruit adds 10. If you run out, advance to the next in-game day before continuing your training.
You can race once per in-game day. After a loss, train your Yagara Bull and return on a later day for another attempt. Use the gap between races to address the problem you noticed, giving the next attempt a clear training change to assess.
Find the Race With the Reward You Need
Win the fourth Yagara Bull race, the Advanced Race, to obtain the Sodom Whistle. Finish first in the Grand Prix to obtain the Gomorrah Whistle. Use those race names to identify your target when working toward either whistle.
| Race | Prize money and reward |
|---|---|
| Beginner Race | 5,000 Berries and a decoration. |
| Beginner Race 2 | 5,000 Berries and a decoration. |
| Intermediate Race | 15,000 Berries and a decoration. |
| Advanced Race | 30,000 Berries, the Sodom Whistle and a decoration. |
| Expert Race | 50,000 Berries and a decoration. |
| Grand Prix | 750,000 Berries, the Gomorrah Whistle and a decoration. |
| Grand Prix 2 | 750,000 Berries and a decoration. |
Missing Races and Whistle Progress
- How do I unlock another race?
- A player in the Steam discussion reports that moving to a new zone unlocks a new race. If you are waiting for another event, continue progressing and check the race options again after reaching a new zone.
- Does getting a whistle unlock Sabo or Loki immediately?
- The Sodom Whistle is an objective on achievement page 6, and completing the whole page unlocks Sabo. The Gomorrah Whistle is an objective on page 7, whose completion unlocks Loki. Collect the relevant whistle, then finish the remaining objectives on that page.
- Can repeat wins give me more basic decorations?
- Players report that each race gives three kinds of basic decoration: two of each on the first win and one of each on later wins. Repeating races is their reported way to stock up on decorations such as parasols and barrels.
