Where to get Laboon’s Whistle

Get Laboon’s Whistle by befriending Laboon during a random sea-creature encounter in the postgame Sea of Wonders. Then register it at the Invitation Space so visitors can use the facility and earn you Berries.

The whistle itself comes from the encounter, rather than a character request or a fixed outing reward. Luffy’s request unlocks the Invitation Space used for calling large sea creatures. Treat obtaining the whistle and building its facility as separate jobs.

02

Prepare your crew and unlock the facility

Reach the Sea of Wonders, the postgame sea after The Most Treacherous Sea. To keep progressing through the seas, check Menu → Actions → Sea Objectives, complete the current sea’s goals and win its cooking battle. You can edit your set menus before the battle and try again on a later day after a loss.

Laboon is level 70, and the crew member who triggers his encounter must be above that level to befriend him. You cannot choose who triggers it, so raise every Straw Hat above level 70 before waiting for Laboon. Spend training points at Zoro’s Break Room to level up the crew.

For the facility, open Menu → Management → Everyone’s Requests and complete Luffy’s request that rewards the Invitation Space. That request requires 18 hearts. Build the facility so you have somewhere to register the whistle after obtaining it.

03

Get the whistle from Laboon’s encounter

  1. Stay in the Sea of Wonders while hunting for Laboon. His whistle comes from a sea-creature encounter there, so make this your destination before waiting for the event.
  2. Check your Straw Hats’ levels and train anyone who is still level 70 or below. The character who meets Laboon must exceed his level 70; preparing the whole crew avoids relying on a particular encounter character.
  3. Leave Luffy, Zoro or Jinbe available for sea treasure collection. Remove restaurant, floor or outing assignments that would prevent them from going treasure hunting.
  4. Let sea collection continue and watch for Laboon’s encounter. If collection is happening but he does not appear, stay in the Sea of Wonders and advance to another in-game day; sea-creature encounters are limited to one per day.
  5. Befriend Laboon when the encounter occurs to obtain his whistle. The encounter character’s level is the important check at this point, so return to training if they cannot befriend him.
  6. Check goal 96 on page 8 of the achievement list after obtaining the whistle. Its requirement is to get the Laboon Whistle, so this is the item objective you are working toward.
04

Use Laboon’s Whistle at the Invitation Space

  1. Build the Invitation Space unlocked by Luffy’s request if you have not placed it yet. This is the facility where characters can interact with large sea creatures.
  2. Select the Invitation Space and set Laboon’s Whistle in one of its slots. Registering the creature’s item is how you add it to this facility.
  3. Let visitors use the facility to earn Berries from Laboon’s registered whistle. Once it is set up, continue working on the remaining achievement-list goals.

Large sea creatures such as Laboon use the calling facility. Fish and smaller aquatic creatures belong in a Tank, while lost animals use the Animal Rest Area. Choose the facility that matches what you collected when arranging your restaurant.

05

Finish the achievement page for Uta

Laboon’s Whistle is required for goal 96 on achievement page 8. Completing the whole page unlocks Uta, so obtaining the whistle is part of that unlock rather than the entire requirement. Check the page’s remaining goals after collecting it.

Keep the item goal separate from the facility setup: the achievement asks you to get the whistle, while registering it lets visitors generate Berries. The Sea of Wonders also has a sea objective to complete 8 pages of the achievement list. Finishing this page therefore helps with your postgame sea goals as well.

When Laboon is not appearing

If sea collection is not happening, check Luffy, Zoro and Jinbe’s assignments first. Restaurant work, floor work and outings prevent them from treasure hunting. Free suitable crew before spending more days waiting for the encounter.

If sea collection is active but Laboon has not appeared, remain in the Sea of Wonders and continue to another in-game day. Sea-creature encounters are limited to one per day. When another creature has already appeared, plan around the next day’s opportunity.
